ASGARD 3rd Project Meeting and 1st ASGARD Internal School

The next ASGARD meeting will take place in Warsaw, Poland between June 11-14, 2013. There will be the 1st ASGARD Internal School organized on the first day of the meeting for the members of the consortium.

The meeting will be hosted by ICHTJ.


WinterSchool 2013

There are two summer schools planned within ASGARD project. The first summer school (named Winterschool 2013 "Fabrication methods & Irradiation performance") was held on 29 – 30 January 2013 at NRG, Petten, The Netherlands.

Winterschool 2013 was joint effort of 7th FP EURATOM projects FAIRFUELS and CINCH.

There were 27 participants on the first day and 35 on the second day of the Winterschool.

Invited speakers were:

Sébastien Picart, CEA  - The resin process for making oxide and carbide microspheres

The Winterschool's second day included visit to NRG labs and Decommissioning and Waste Treatment facility.

The Winterschool was followed by the 2nd regular ASGARD Project Meeting, which took place on January 31 - February 1.


RAD 2014 conference

The Second International Conference on Radiation and Dosimetry in Various Fields of Research - RAD 2014 - will take place on May 27-30 2014 in Niš, Serbia. 

RAD 2014 is a biannual international conference on radiation and radiation dosimetry in various fields of research organized by Applied Physics Laboratory (APL), Faculty of Electronic Engineering, University of Niš, Niš, Serbia.

The aim of the Conference is to provide the forum for researchers and professionals involved with radiation and radiation dosimetry to exchange and discuss their findings and experiences. The fields covered by the Conference are physics, electronics, medicine, biology, chemistry, environmental protection, and other areas related to ionizing and nonionizing radiation and their detection.
