Following several requests the abstract submission deadline for the 5^th International Nuclear Chemistry Congress, INCC, held in Gothenburg, Sweden between Aug 27^th  and Sep 1^st , 2017, has been prolonged until February 15, 2017. Registration is possible until April 10^th.

The 9th (and final) ASGARD project meeting took place on June 20-23, 2016 in Visby, Gotland Sweden. Jointly with the event, the final review meeting of the Scientific Advisory Board was organized.

The OECD Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA) is organising the Fourteenth International Exchange Meeting on Actinide and Fission Product Partitioning and Transmutation (14IEMPT). The meeting will be held in San Diego, US from 17^th to 20^th of October 2016, hosted by Idaho National Laboratory (INL).

The purpose of this meeting is to stimulate an exchange of information on recent development on P&T. The meeting will cover scientific, as well as strategic/policy developments in the field of P&T, such as: fuel cycle strategies potential benefits of P&T on waste disposal, advanced nuclear fuel recycling, transmutation fuels and targets ,transmutation systems and infrastructure.

The 2nd International conference, Recent Advances in Analytical Science (RAAS-2016) is being organized by the Department of Chemistry, Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University) Varanasi, under the auspices of Indian Society of Analytical Scientists (ISAS) - Varanasi Chapter. The conference will be held in Varanasi, India, from March 29-31, 2016.

The 2nd ASGARD International Seminar will be embedded in TopFuel 2015 conference.

7^th regular ASGARD project meeting will take place on July 7^th – July 9^th 2015 in Swiss Olympic House, Magglingen, Switzerland. Project partner “Paul Scherrer Institut” is hosting the meeting at this time.

The 6th regular Asgard Project Meeting including Plenary meeting, GB meeting and PCC meeting will take place in Cluj-Napoca (Romania) between January 13-15, 2015. The meeting will be hosted by INCDTIM.

ASGARD Winter school 2014 will focus on Fuel Characterisation and Isotope Separation. It will take place at KTH, Stockholm on 27-28th January 2014. Please, see Winter school 2014 leaflet for details.

The 4th regular ASGARD Project Meeting including Project Coordination Committee Meeting and Governing Board Meeting on January 29-30, 2014 at KTH, Stockholm, Sweden.  The meeting is connected with the 1st CINCH-II Project Meeting running in paralel with ASGARD courses on Fuel characterization (January 27) and Isotope separation (January 28).

The Second International Conference on Radiation and Dosimetry in Various Fields of Research (RAD 2014) and Second East European Radon Symposium (SEERAM) will take place in Niš, Serbia in May 2014. Please see details and important dates at the conference homepage.

Both RAD 2014 and SEERAM have been added to the event calendar.

M&M 2014 will take place in Hartford, USA between August 3-7, 2014. A specific symposium is dedicated to Nuclear and Irradiated Materials. Call for Papers will be announced in November 2013.

The First Russian-Nordic Symposium on Radiochemistry will be held in over four days in Moscow on 21-24 October 2013 at Lomonosov Moscow State University. Russian-Nordic Symposium on Radiochemistry (RNSR) is the first Symposium in this series that is originated from Russian-Finish Symposium on Radiochemistry series that started in 1987. RNSR unites together radiochemists from Russia and Nordic countries: Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Iceland.

There are two summer schools planned within ASGARD project. The first summer school (named Winterschool 2013 "Fabrication methods & Irradiation performance") was held on 29 – 30 January 2013 at NRG, Petten, The Netherlands.

Winterschool 2013 was joint effort of 7th FP EURATOM projects FAIRFUELS and CINCH.

There were 27 participants on the first day and 35 on the second day of the Winterschool.

Invited speakers were:

Manuel Pouchon, PSI  - Sol gel methods & advanced sphere-pac fuel fabrication

Sébastien Picart, CEA  - The resin process for making oxide and carbide microspheres

The Winterschool's second day included visit to NRG labs and Decommissioning and Waste Treatment facility.

The Winterschool was followed by the 2nd regular ASGARD Project Meeting, which took place on January 31 - February 1.
